Grandma is leaving
Grandma Helen came down for my first birthday, but now it is time for her to go back to Wasilla. I love having family come visit me in Juneau.

Modified Crawl
Her I am making a run for it. My favorite place on our property is a pile of gravel between the front and back yards. I love climbing the gravel pile, even with bare feet and knees, and I especially love putting rocks in my mouth.

Slide and Swing
Here I am with Mommy on a swing that is attached to a slide in my backyard. It is not a great swing; it is very squeeky and goes back and forth in quick little arcs. Maybe my daddy will build a bigger one for me someday.

Becky and Daddy at Dredge Lake Area
One nice day I saddled up Daddy, and we went for a walk from our house (right under Thunder Mountain in the background) to the lakes in the Dredge Lake area. Mommy came along to take pictures.
|
Lupine
I asked Daddy to stop for a minute, so that I could have a closer look at all the beautiful lupine alone the path.

Becky in her new sweater
Here I am sitting on Mommy's lap in the beautiful sweater that Grandma Susan knit for me. What fun!
|
Becky and Mommy in matching Carharts
Mommy dressed me in matching outfits for our afternoon of working on the yard.

Becky and the orange finger paint.
I don't know what my mom was thinking when she put this stuff in front of me. I loved slapping my hands down on the gooey paper and watching paint drops splatter so much that I would clap my hands together. This would surprise me with paint splattering on my face!

One Year Shots
I was a very good sport when it came time to get three shots shortly after my first birthday. I get my shots and well baby check-ups at the Juneau Public Health Clinic.

Becky and Daddy
One day a man came to build our new concrete driveway. He thought he was going to dig out the old dirt with a shovel, but it didn't take him very long to bring a Bobcat to do the job. Notice that I am riding Daddy bareback (that's what I call it when he doesn't have his saddle on when I'm riding on him).

Planting the Vegetable Garden
I helped Mommy plant some vegetables in the backyard on a sunny day in June. We would have planted earlier, but Daddy just built the new raised planting beds.
|
Mom and Becky
We all enjoyed watching the men work. While sitting in the shade of our front porch in our wicker chairs, all we felt we were missing while watching were some mint juleps!
|
Broiler
After the concrete was poured at our house, I decided that neither Mommy nor Daddy should cook dinner. I suggested that they take the 2-for-1 coupon they got in the mail that day and take us all out for dinner. We don't dine out very often, and this time we ran into Mommy's old roommate. Tracy, and her friend, Dave, so we all had dinner together.

Becky Rushing For the Door
Mommy and Daddy have been putting me in dresses and other outfits that impede me crawling and encourage my walking. However, I quickly mastered a modified crawl that uses just my hads and feet
|
Becky in Her Car Seat
The shoulder straps in my carseat are in need of adjusting, but I really enjoy facing forward and looking out the front window for a change.
|
Becky and the Bud Light
We went over to Marty and Cindy's house to pick up my new play house. Daddy was thirsty while we were watching Marty and his workers installing a french drain in their back yard. My mommy wants everyone to know that I did not have even a sip of beer.
