Welcome to "The Wittig Family", online edition. There are lots of Wittigs out there, so don't be confused. We're NOT the Wittigs you see in the police blotter or on "America's Most Wanted". We are the Wittigs that like to sing, knit, write, study, act, raise children, tell tall tales, teach, sail, draw, travel . . .

Robert Russell Wittig wisely convinced Lenore O'Connor to be his wife, and together they raised two children, Robert Lee and Alice in Danville, Illinois. Four generations of their decendents have settled throughout the United States. Every couple years, those that can gather together for a family reunion. In 2001, the family got together in Woodland Park, Colorado. We basked in the sweltering sunshine in Levenworth, Washington in 2003. Most recently, we had a fine reunion at Kathy and Bob's farmstead near Alvin, Illinois, just north of Danville.
